Please see the Digital Camera Basics 3 session class.
Does that new digital camera seem a little overwhelming? So many features and controls? Is it easier to use on Auto? If you would like to understand more of your camera’s capabilities and start using it in modes other than Auto, this class is perfect for you. Join Eliot for a conversation filled with practical information that you can use to improve your photography. Learn about adjusting the ISO, shutter and aperture and how that will help you make more interesting pictures that express what you want others to see.
We’ll discuss:
- ISO and sensitivity to light
- Using the shutter to stop action or blur motion
- Using the aperture to help define what will be in focus (depth of field)
- Focusing moving subjects as well as still subjects
- Which shooting modes offer the greatest control
- Digital terms such as resolution, compression and white balance
Participants should bring their camera, a card and a charged battery and perhaps your camera manual. Eliot will help each individual set up their specific camera as he describes the general features.
The class is limited to 16 participants.
