Now that you have taken control of your camera and are out of Auto mode, would you appreciate some feedback on your pictures and suggestions to help make them more engaging? If so, this class could be very helpful.

The emphasis in this intermediate level class will be a discussion of student images and getting the best results from DSLR or Mirrorless cameras. We will assume that everyone is familiar with using their camera in either shutter priority, aperture priority or manual exposure.  (If not, please start with the Digital Camera Basics class.)

Using in camera tools such as the histogram and blinking highlights warning, we can make exposure more predictable and consider ways to deal with difficult lighting.

Auto focus options are becoming more sophisticated and can be tailored to different situations such as scenic, action, or wildlife.

Composition and suggestions to make each image as expressive of the scene and photographer’s intent will be part of the discussion.

Students will upload a folder of images for discussion which can be shared for an on screen discussion.

The class is limited to 7 participants.
