Although Adobe Lightroom Classic might be the place to begin when editing your files, there is still an important role for Adobe Photoshop to play. Lightroom Classic offers some retouching capabilities, however that is something many people prefer to do in Photoshop. The ability to select specific areas of a file is more refined in Photoshop, and the use of layers offers some flexibility in your workflow.
In this class, you will learn how to use Photoshop in conjunction with Lightroom Classic (or Lightroom):
• Setting up the Photoshop interface for editing photos vs. graphics
• Moving files from Lightroom Classic to Photoshop and saving
• Retouching images using the correct tools and procedures
• Using the new AI capabilities
• Making selections using the correct tools and procedures
• Working with layers and masks
• Adding canvas to a photo
• Architectural transforms
The class will be taught over Zoom. It works very well. Student screens can be shared as well as the instructor’s screen. Photoshop is now licensed from Adobe and comes with Lightroom Classic and Lightroom as a part of the Photography Plan.
The class is limited to 6 participants.
Cancellation policy:
7 or more days: Full credit toward a future class less $30 cancellation fee.
6 days or less: The full charge is incurred. No future class credit or refund are provided.
Requests for credit must be received in writing within the timeframes above.
