Digital Photography Class McLean | Intermediate Photography Class McLeanThis is a class is for those who have familiarity with their camera though a Basics or Introductory class and are now ready to do some guided shooting. After a short review of ISO, Shutter, and Aperture functions we’ll be out photographing and putting these capabilities into practice. Our locations will include the architecture, gardens and grounds on the Mall.  Weather permitting we’ll do most of our shooting outdoors, but if inclement weather applies, we’ll work indoors or under cover.

We’ll practice:
• adjusting ISO and the reasons for doing so
• controlling motion with shutter speed
• the role of the aperture in influencing depth of field
• other factors that affect depth of field
• the role of different lenses in the framing and composition of your photo
• some compositional ideas to add interest to your photos

The goal is to help you create sharp photos that are well composed and express your ideas about your subject.

Participants should be familiar with their cameras and be able to make adjustments to their settings using either Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority or Manual mode. Be sure your battery is charged (bring a spare) and that you have an empty card for the shoot.

The class is limited to 8 people.

Cancellation Policy:

6 days or less: The full charge is incurred. No future class credit or refund are provided.
