Photography on the Mall

Date: Sunday, May 31, 1:00PM-3:30PM Location: Museum of Natural History Class fee: $69 This is a class is for those who have familiarity with their camera though a Basics or Introductory class and are now ready to do some guided shooting. After a short review of ISO, Shutter, and Aperture functions we'll be out photographing and putting these capabilities into practice. Our locations will include the architecture and grounds of the Mall and the National Gallery sculpture garden. Weather permitting we'll do most of our shooting outdoors, but if inclement weather applies, we'll work indoors or under cover.

And the mechanics are quite logical and easy to follow. Black and white prints can be objects of great beauty, so we'll make prints and discuss some of the contemporary materials that are available for black and white printmaking. You'll come away with an excellent understanding of what makes an expressive black and white photograph and how to craft it in Lightroom.
