Location: National Zoo
Class Fee $89.00
Join Eliot for an instructive and enjoyable morning with the animals at the National Zoo. Animal behaviors can be unpredictable and charming. With its range of creatures, the zoo is a great setting to learn how to photograph animals or to practice skills that have been previously introduced. We’ll be considering a few important variables during the session:
• Working with the shutter to freeze motion
• Burst shooting and tracking focus
• Adjusting focus points for enhanced composition
• Panning to enhance motion
• Setting ISO for different outcomes
• Using aperture and focal length to separate subject from background
• Lens choices
• Evaluating sharpness
Slr or Mirrorless cameras would be good for the class along with telephoto lenses (200mm or longer).
Participants should be familiar with their cameras and be able to make adjustments to their settings using either Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority or Manual mode. Be sure your battery is charged and that you have a clean SD/CF card for the shoot.
The class is limited to 10 people.
You may also enjoy Eliot’s wildlife galleries from Kenya and Botswana.
